The Scenic Carpenter is responsible for the construction, installation, maintenance, and strike of scenic elements for productions at CPH. Working under the supervision of the Technical Director and in collaboration with the scenic team, the Carpenter ensures that all sets are built safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications and production schedules. Must be willing to join IATSE Local 27
Proficiency in reading and interpreting scenic and technical drawings
Working knowledge of construction techniques and materials (wood, metal, rigging, hardware)
Familiarity with shop and stage tools and equipment, including power tools and welding
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to workplace safety and respectful communication
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights/on ladders when necessary
Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and some holidays during tech and production periods
Preferred:
Welding certification or experience
Experience with automation, rigging systems, or CNC machines
