This position has a budgeted hiring rate of $60,000 - $62,000. The position is classified as an A4. The A4
salary band for all positions at the college with this classification has a minimum rate of $45,000 and a
maximum rate of $70,312. This is a full-time, exempt position. For benefit purposes only, the workweek
is estimated to be 35 hours per week. The actual schedule for exempt positions may vary based on the
workload and responsibilities assigned.
The Technical Director works closely with professional designers and undergraduate student
designers/technicians in a hands-on production environment. The Technical Director is responsible for the
operation and maintenance of the technical aspects of Theatre Arts Department facilities including scene
shop, costume shop, stages, green room, lighting lab, props storage, dressing rooms and acting studio.
Coordinates events in Alumni Hall with Conference Services and Arts Manager; oversees and provides
technical assistance for said events.
