This position manages event coordination and activity calendars for the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts and adjacent areas. Works with a team of production supervisors, marketing staff and ticketing staff in a multi-venue environment. Coordinates details of contractual obligations to support events and presentations. Liaises with artists, tour managers, event sponsors, commercial film scouts, contractors and Kauffman Center staff. Assembles license agreements and other documents for venue clients. Manages artist hospitality. Assists with production equipment upkeep. Advocates workplace safety and implements emergency response procedures for back-of-house areas. A bachelor’s degree is required. A minimum of three years previous experience in events management or events coordination beyond graduation is required, preferably in a performing arts setting.
Work experience in stage management or company management is strongly preferred. A graduate of IAVM’s Venue Management School is desired. Experience with show settlements is a plus.
