Cast Your Votes in the USITT Board of Directors Election

The USITT Nominations Committee is pleased to present the candidates for election to serve on the Board of Directors. The USITT Board of Directors is the governing body of the Corporation. Directors are charged with the responsibility to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of the corporation so as to support its mission and needs. Those elected will serve a three-year term. It is critical that members participate in the election process; by doing so members invest in the future of the Institute. USITT members current as of 12:00 p.m., EST on Jan. 25, 2023 are eligible to vote in the election.

Please take time to review the biographies and position statements for all candidates prior to casting your vote.

All current USITT members are eligible to vote in this election. Members will receive an email containing login credentials to cast their vote. Voting will close during the Annual Membership Meeting, held at the Annual Conference & Stage Expo, March 15, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., CDT, in St. Louis, Mo.

Current members eligible to vote should have already received their initial ballot from the email address vote@simplyvoting.com. Please use the information in this email to cast your ballot. You may receive this ballot more than once, but you will not be able to vote more than once.

On the ballot are the following positions:

PRESIDENT ELECT 
The President-Elect serves one year on the Board before assuming the office of President for three (3) years, followed by one year as Immediate-Past President.  The President is the presiding officer at Board meetings, sits on all USITT committees, and collaborates closely with the Executive Director on Institute goals and initiatives ensuring they align with our Mission and Vision.  

SECRETARY
The Secretary serves a 3-year term and oversees the recording and filing of the minutes of all meetings of the membership and the Board of Directors in the National Office. They also oversee the governance and operational documents of the Institute.

DIRECTORS
The Nominations Committee has nominated eight (8) individuals for four positions as Directors for the Class of 2023-2026. 

Each member of the Board of Directors shall be a member in good standing of the Corporation as well as of a Regional Section. Directors are charged with the responsibility to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of the Corporation so as to support its mission and needs. Directors shall be elected by the Corporation’s members and may chair committees as determined by the Board and the bylaws throughout their term(s) in office.
