A No-Pressure Networking Weekend!
The Year of the Stage Manager together with the Stage Managers’ Association is putting together an optimistic, no-pressure networking event called The Connection Convention on Feb. 12, 13, and 14. Their goal is to connect stage managers with employers and people who might influence hiring in 2021 and beyond. While hiring is limited due to the pandemic, they’re featuring this no-pressure event where stage managers can meet professionals for seven-minute Zoom conversations and plant seeds for future networking—it’s the kind of meeting, chatting, and casual interviewing everyone missed out on last year. They do want to stress that this is not a job fair.
Open registration for individual one-on-ones will begin on February 8th. Registration for BIPOC stage managers will be open on February 6th.
