GoVision Teams Outfield Screens With Colossus For MLB Speedway Classic At Bristol Motor Speedway

July 30, 2025

BRISTOL, Tenn. – In April 2016, GoVision LLC constructed and installed the world’s largest outdoor, permanent, center-hung digital display – fittingly dubbed Colossus – at Bristol Motor Speedway. This month, GoVision will return to BMS to install two massive LED walls for Major League Baseball’s first game ever played in the state of Tennessee.

The MLB Speedway Classic between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds will be played on Saturday, Aug. 2.

Two temporary screens constructed by GoVision for the Speedway’s “outfield” – comprised of 3.9mm high-resolution panels measuring 90’ x 9’8” and 90’ x 4’9”, respectively – will provide outstanding views to the 3,500 fans seated behind the diamond that won’t be able to see the enormous Colossus screen suspended above them.

“This event is the perfect illustration of GoVision’s industry-leading ability to deliver both rental and fixed-installation solutions to our customers,” said GoVision Founder & Chairman Chris Curtis. “The Colossus installation nearly a decade ago was a groundbreaking project, and it still looks great. The temporary LED walls we’re erecting in the outfield will be ideal complements to Colossus, ensuring baseball fans the best-possible views of the game.”

In addition to the outfield displays, GoVision is providing six outdoor LED screens made from state-of-the-art 1.8mm panels, as well as 36 55” television monitors for the Hospitality Suites at the Speedway.

“We’re grateful to have GoVision as a trusted partner at BMS, providing screens and support for our races,” said Adam Rust, Vice President of Events & Operations at Bristol Motor Speedway. “I’m excited that on August 2 they’re a part of the MLB Speedway Classic here at The Last Great Colosseum. We have the highest level of trust that they’ll not only deliver but exceed expectations for our guests and MLB.”

Colossus is comprised of 8,694 square-feet of digiLED Toura 6mm LED panels, totaling nearly 20 million pixels. Each screen on the four-sided structure measures roughly 30’ tall by 63’ wide. The display hangs from a halo-shaped truss and features an additional circular LED display beneath the screens measuring nearly 6’ in height.

“As always, GoVision came through with the exact LED displays and support we needed to pull off this complex assignment,” said BaAM Productions Technical Director Andrew Davy. “Their tech team are true professionals who know how to make video magic look simple!”
