Slovenia’s national television broadcaster recently completed a major studio lighting upgrade, installing Elation KL Series fixtures in its newly redesigned Studio 3 in Ljubljana. The project marks a milestone for Elation’s presence in the Slovenian broadcast market.

The installation, delivered by Elation’s local distribution partner Sync AV earlier in the year and integrated by KSL Sound and Light Studio, includes 24 KL PANEL LED softlights and 29 pole-operated KL FRESNEL 6 CW PO LED wash lights.

KL Series
Used by broadcast professionals worldwide for years, the KL Series encompasses a broad lineup of studio-quality lighting solutions that combine advanced LED technology with elegant design. To ensure the best possible match for the broadcaster’s needs, Sync AV presented the Elation products in live demos and competitive shootouts, testing them directly in the studio environment.

Sync AV and KSL Studio
Sync provided Elation units for extended on-site testing, allowing the broadcaster to experience their output, versatility, and build firsthand. This rigorous process resulted in the selection of the award-winning KL Series, which strikes the ideal balance between premium quality and competitive pricing. All softlights in the refurbished Studio 3 are now Elation.

KL PANEL: Premium Softlight for Broadcast
Designed for light-critical and noise-sensitive environments, such as on-camera productions, the KL PANEL is a full-color-spectrum LED softlight optimized for film and television. Featuring a 6-in-1 RGBWLC (Red, Green, Blue, White, Lime, Cyan) LED array, it delivers up to 24,000 field lumens, a high CRI of 95, and variable color temperature from 2000–10,000K.

For the Slovenian broadcaster’s news programming, the panels are mounted on a pole operation bracket and are primarily used as 5600K softlights, delivering natural, high-quality white light while offering the flexibility of full-spectrum color when needed.

KL FRESNEL 6 CW PO
The KL Fresnel 6 CW PO features a 150W 5600K cool white LED engine with a CRI above 97, producing over 8,500 lumens. Features include a 16° to 39° wide manual zoom, dimmer rotary dial, smooth 16-bit selectable dimming modes and curves, LED refresh rate frequency adjustment, and removable barn doors. Its pole-operated design allows easy pan, tilt, and zoom adjustments from the floor, enhancing efficiency and safety in a busy broadcast environment.

Also for National Broadcaster’s Maribor Facility 
The success of the Studio 3 installation has resulted in the installation of 50 KL FRESNEL 6 CW PO and 12 KL PANELs in the broadcaster’s Maribor facility in Slovenia’s second-largest city.
