INSURANCE

All foreign travelers in New Zealand are covered for medical expenses incurred here by our Accident Compensation Corporation ( http://www.acc.co.nz ). We advise each individual to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers all possibilities, including illness and injury; damage, theft or loss of baggage and personal property; international flight changes and cancellations, etc.

LIABILITY

If you experience a delay in your arrival or at your departure caused by the airline, neither USITT nor Good Company Pacific is liable for additional transport and/or accommodation costs that may arise.

OBLIGATIONS OF PARTICIPANTS

Participants are required to have passports or other travel documents valid for New Zealand, as well as tourist and transit visas and health certificates if required. Participants will be liable for all damages that Good Company Pacific may suffer as a result of their failure to fulfill the above obligations.
Each guest must inform their group leader in writing, when contacted, of any special personal requests that may be the subject of specific agreements on the travel arrangements (e.g., food allergies, single supplement accommodation), provided that they are possible to implement. Good Company Pacific will accept in writing such special requests, after checking the availability of suppliers that will provide what is requested. Good Company Pacific will send as soon as possible to the group leader, a communication advising of any additional costs arising from such requests.

ADDITIONAL LIABILITY

USITT and Good Company Pacific will not, under any circumstances, be liable for damages of any kind, where failure to perform or improper performance of the contract are not attributable to  the fault of the service provider, or if the failure of execution of the contract is attributable to the traveler, or is attributable to a third party unconnected with the provision of the contracted services and are due to force majeure or an event that Good Company Pacific  could not, with all due care, foresee or resolve (e.g., strikes of any kind, operational changes/times of scheduled transport companies, etc.).
USITT and Good Company Pacific will not be held liable for damages:

  •  following the failure by the traveler to heed recommendations or warnings by group leaders or tour guides or mentors on site;
  • arising from services provided by third parties that are not part of the tour package;
  • arising from autonomous actions of the traveler.
