Summary

The School of Theatre at Oklahoma City University invites culturally and academically diverse applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Lighting Design position beginning August 2024. The successful candidate will collaborate with our professional artistic community with primary teaching duties in lighting design and technology. Duties include: instruction of introductory and advanced courses in lighting design and technology, mentoring student lighting designers and production electricians, may occasionally design productions, collaborate on oversight of staff Electrics Supervisor, attend production meetings, designer runs, cueing sessions as needed, tech and dress rehearsals, participate in local, regional, and national recruiting events. Requirements

MFA in Lighting Design
Two to three years of professional lighting design experience
Experience in managing & mentoring staff, students, and/or interns
Proficiency with ETC consoles and moving light programming
Proficiency in Vectorworks Spotlight and Lightwright
