The ATD works with the TD to implement all technical aspects for CPT’s season, consisting of 6-12 full productions, 2-4 new work development series, 2 multi-site special events. The role requires an average of 40 hours a week with actual hours varying.
Overall Responsibilities: Build and install sets; Hang, patch, and focus light plots; Install and focus projectors; Maintain shop to meet CPT standards of safety, and cleanliness
Qualifications: Preferred candidate is an experienced carpenter; Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs; Working knowledge of VectorWorks/QLab; Attention to detail; Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment; Self Motivated; An eye for safety and risk assessment;
Experience: 2 years of full-time technical theatre work Or, a BA degree in technical theatre
