Sight & Sound Films is seeking a Costume Production Assistant to work within our costume team. The Costume Production Assistant will support the Designer and Assistant Designer in the preparation of costumes for the next Sight & Sound Films production. The length of employment for this position is expected to be approximately 9 months.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the set up and maintenance of a costume bible for the film.
- Assist with sourcing and swatching of needed fabrics, trims, and notions.
- Act as scribe and other duties in fittings as needed.
- Provide on-set support as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Costume Designer and Assistant Costume Designer
Prerequisites:
- Knowledge of textiles and their care/maintenance.
- Knowledge of historical costuming with a strong sense of design and style.
- Highly organized with strong time/activity management skills.
- Proven creative problem solving.
