The Production Carpenter works with the Technical Director, Head Carpenter, and affected Department Heads to plan seasonal and show-specific Carpentry Department labor, projects, staffing and equipment needs. The ability to work overtime, evening, and weekend hours based on performance schedules is essential to this position.
This position is represented by IATSE, Local No. 15.
Successful candidates must collaborate positively with designers, directors, and stage managers. Skilled in stage carpentry for large-scale productions, with project management experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Vectorworks. Experienced in systems processes, technical drawing interpretation, budgeting, and safety regulations. Familiar with production elements and has strong communication skills.
