Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre is seeking a Technical Director for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. SSMT is a professional summerstock theatre on the campus of Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. TD will work with college-aged artists as well as other professionals in the industry. The production staff is full-time during the season (3-4 carpenters, 3-4 painters, pool of approximately 12 interns, etc) and work is Tuesday-Sunday, approximately 9 am to 6 pm. Ideal on site dates would be June 14-July 5 (some flexibility).
Proficiency in technical draftings, ability to lead and delegate to a crew of varied abilities, experience with budgeting and estimating, knowledge of all areas of theatrical production, solid communication skills, ability to collaborate. Hands on work required.
