Summary

The Department of Theatre and Dance at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a two-year, non-tenure track instructional Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Theatre and Dance specializing in Costume Design that will begin August 10, 2024.

We seek an individual with expertise in costume design for theatre and dance, costume construction, costume crafts and related fabrication, hair and make-up design, and history/period style in fashion and attire, (expertise in costume for film encouraged but not required). The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a [3-3] teaching load.

Requirements

An MFA degree in Costume Design or a related field at time of appointment is required. Previous teaching experience at the university level and industry design experience preferred.
